Matrix Legal Solicitors, previously based in Kingston-Upon-Thames, Surrey, was sold by way of merger to a firm in Guildford in April 2019. Regretably, that merger failed and Matrix Legal as a firm of solicitors ceased trading. The Guildford firm that was a successor practice to Matrix Legal went into administration in 2023.

Matrix Legal ceased being regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority in March 2019.

Tariq Mubarak, the founder and managing director of Matrix Legal holds consultant solicitor roles with various other law firms and trades through STM Consultancy since 2020.
